L Contrary to Congress’s intent, the U.S. Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, has been using the pandemic as an excuse to redirect funds from public schools to private, religious schools. … Your tax dollars at work building the future theocracy. [See details.]

L The World Health Organization member states came to the table on May 19th to develop a critical response to the biggest global health crisis of our time. Lie of the Month

The Devil made you do it.

In 1970, comedian Flip Wilson popularized the character Geraldine Jones, whose catch phrase “The Devil made me do it!” is often repeated to this day. Although that phrase is usually tossed off in a joking manner, the idea of satanic influence in human affairs is no laughing matter. As the ultimate bogyman, the image of a King of Hell is employed to terrify the ignorant and the weak-minded into submitting to the will of tyrants and Bible salesmen throughout Western culture.. . . . . Case of the Month

Having a Friend

Case #72: A Catholic woman's sixth child insists that he was a priest with whom she had closely bonded while in boarding school. Worth Repeating This Month
"I have assisted at a hundred experiments and have observed and reflected for nearly thirty years. I believe there is no escape from the tremendous conclusion that, just beyond the thin hiding veil of what we call the senses there is a new world where all the subtle forces are, and where the myriads of God's children who have vanished live and love and think and work.”
— The Reverend J. Page Hopps (Death a Delusion). Quoted by Crookall in Intimations of Immortality.
“The essential principle of totalitarianism is to make laws that are impossible to obey. … [as] is echoed in the New Testament by the injunction which says that a man who looks upon a woman in the wrong way has actually committed adultery already.” — Christopher Hitchens, God Is Not Great
